It is important to analyze the accident case caused by dangerous materials to secure safety in manufacturing, storing, handling, transportation, and disposal, and to prevent the disaster caused by dangerous articles, to obtain the lesson, and to reflect it in the restriction etc. Moreover, it is hoped to make to the data base and to share these information widely.
Moreover, international circulation is pointed out as a problem concerning dangerous materials. The international transport of dangerous goods between nations is done according to the United Nations transport of dangerous goods recommendation book while transportation in each country is based on a domestic regulation. The harmony between international and domestic regulations is necessary so that dangerous materials may circulate safe and smooth.
Therefore, the symposium is held aiming to discuss problems of dangerous materials, and to contribute to security of dangerous materials and smooth international circulation with the introduction of the accident data base on the analysis of accident cases with dangerous materials and the lesson, the opinion exchanges, through the discussion about various problems in the United Nations transport of dangerous goods recommendation.
