Part 1 : Lessons learned from large earthquakes, especially roles of information for emergency response activities (10:50-17:00)

This part aims at sharing the experiences of the participating nations and regions. The speakers are expected to introduce what was prepared before earthquakes, what emergency response activities were taken during earthquakes and what countermeasures have been considered based on the lessons learned from earthquakes, referring to the state of affairs of each participating nation or region such as the system of emergency responses and the information infrastructure.

Part 3: Information strategy for decision-making in emergency response activities during earthquakes (15:30 - 17:00)

This part will provide an international forum on the following issues: (1) gathering, transmission, evaluation and estimation of disaster information; (2) decision-making of disaster countermeasure headquarters and/or fire services; (3) directions to disaster sites; (4) dissemination of disaster information to the public; (5) interactive communication processes and so on. The discussion aims at pursuing what problems awaiting solution we share and what the international information network of research should be.
